Weather Policies

If there is 2 hour delay for Warsaw Community Schools, BYC’s Before School Program will operate under a 1 hour delay, opening at 7:30 AM. This allows us additional time to assess weather and road conditions before opening.

Please check the BYC Facebook page and your ProCare message app for updated information by 7:15AM.

If the delay becomes a school cancellation after we officially open, BYC will remain open until 5:30 PM with a $30 day fee (or children may be picked up by 10:00 AM at no additional charge).

If school is canceled the night before, BYC will be closed that day.

Extreme Weather Exceptions:

In cases of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, BYC may determine it is in the best interest of children and staff to close even during a delay or day‑of cancellation. If this occurs, BYC will make every effort to notify families by 6:30AM so alternate arrangements can be made.
