Program Director
Job Summary
Direct and manage overall daily programming of Baker Youth Club, and satellite sites, including program development and scheduling, supervise and train staff, member safety, community and corporate relations, and coordination of volunteers. Hours are 9:00am-6:00pm
Leadership
- Establish programs, activities and services that are in line with the mission of BYC
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, equipment and supplies are maintained.
- Exercise authority in relation to members and staff, utilizing policy and procedures.
- Provide exemplary leadership for staff through open communication, regular staff meetings and daily actions.
- Staff management during programming hours
Strategic Planning
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests.
- Align program staff to organizational goals and direction.
Outcome Management
- Maintain accurate records for reporting Club data.
- Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
Marketing and Public Relations
- Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community.
- Ensure appropriate materials are developed and distributed to highlight Club programs.
- Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
Supervision
- Recruit, train and manage staff; provide ongoing feedback; and identify and support development opportunities. Ensure a productive work environment.
- Manage your own time and resources.
- Support training of program staff and volunteers that facilitate the mission of Baker Youth club.
Additional Responsibilities
- Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
- Work with staff with daily activities
- Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize policy and procedures and discipline plan.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
